Description

The Unique Writer is happy to present this 4-week, informal Creative Writing Workshop!

Each week students will practice creative writing in their preferred form:

  • short stories
  • poems
  • personal essays

Workshops will focus on guided writing practice and specific literary elements to encourage imaginative storytelling. A new prompt will be given each week. Students may work on one writing piece throughout the 4-week course or write something new for each workshop.

Interested students may receive instruction on adapting their stories into plays. Writing is regularly read within the workshop community to share ideas and enhance learning.

There is no assigned homework in this course. Writing outside the workshop is encouraged to get the most out of this mini-course, but it is not required.

Ages: 9-14+

Location: In-person in Ringwood, NJ, or Online on Zoom & Google Classroom. Please double-check that you have selected your desired location before checking out.
