Sometimes students don’t need formal instruction, they just need a second opinion. Paper grading services allow students to receive specific, direct feedback about their writing as they prepare assignments for rigorous high school classes, college entrance essays, or college-level courses.
Grading services include:
- internal and external comments
- recommendations to improve writing
- a rubric-based assessment: your rubric, if provided with the assignment, or mine if no rubric is provided
- informal grade/overall score
- traditional grade out of 100: based on rubric assessment, provided on request only
Graded papers will be returned within one week of submission.
Paper Grading Fees:
First Submission:
- Up to 1,000 words: $30
- Up to 2,000 words: $45
- Additional words, charged in 500-word increments: $10/500 words
Revisions may be resubmitted for additional review. Students revise their writing based on my feedback in the first submission. This enhances the instructional value of the paper grading service.
Would you like to submit a revision of the first submission?
Second Submission/First Revision Fees:
- Up to 1,000 words: $20
- Up to 2,000 words: $30
- Additional words will be charged at the $10/500 words rate
Please Note: If your student’s graded writing is to be submitted as part of a course, at least one graded revision is recommended. The first submission grade is dropped as an instructional grade and the second submission grade counts.
Would you like to continue the revising/grading exchange for final feedback?
Final polished papers may be submitted a third time for overall impressions and revision assessment. This may be a priority for those wishing to use their graded essays for college applications, scholarship applications, and advanced course work.
Third Submission/Second Revision Fees:
- Up to 1,000 words: $15
- Up to 2,000 words: $20
- Additional words will be charged at the $10/500 words rate
Paper submission requirements:
- The original assignment/prompt in writing. If the assignment was not given in writing, a written explanation of the assignment as the student understands it must be submitted.
- Formatting: 1″ margins, 12′ font, standard font type (ie: Times New Roman, Arial), double space
- The required formatting guidelines: MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.
- Accompanying assignment rubric, if provided to the student. If no rubric accompanies the assignment, I will use my own.
